Membership Types are:

Regular Member:

Persons who are employed by a municipal government in Alberta

Retired Member:

Prior Regular Member who retired from a municipal government in Alberta

Affiliated Member:

Any individual or organization with an interest in local government taxation. These members enjoy the same benefits as the regular and retired memberships but they do not have the ability to carry voting rights or stand for election.

Regular and Retired members are entitled to:

Receive notice of and attend any general meeting of the Association;
Make a motion, second a motion, speak to a motion, and vote at a general meeting of the members;
Participate or vote in elections;
Stand for election as a Director, if eligible in accordance with the Association Bylaws; and
Exercise other rights or privileges given to members in the Association Bylaws.

All members will at all times:

Comply with the Associations Bylaws and any policies adopted by the Board; and

Not hinder the purposes, aims and objectives of the Association
